I am a Texas-born photographer currently based in Poland and Ukraine. In September 2012, I took off on a trip throughout the Caribbean, Asia, and Africa with the missions group “The World Race”. It was on this trip that I acquired my love for photography. I returned home for six months where I bought a camera and a one-way ticket to Chiang Mai, Thailand. During this two-year stay in Asia, I worked with various NGOs providing photography, specializing in photographing victims of the sex industry, refugees of the civil war in Myanmar, and minority groups. After two years in Asia, I realized I needed more training to develop my photography skills. After a short time in Ukraine, I went to Nuremberg, Germany for the Marriage of the Arts school that is run through YWAM. Here, I developed a love for film photography, mainly medium and large formats. With the school, I spent three months in Nuremberg and three more months traveling to India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal working with different churches and NGOs. When the school was completed, I then moved to L’viv, where I spent eight years photographing life in Ukraine and running photo workshops. In February 2022, due to the Russian invasion, I moved to Poland with my wife and two children. I currently reside in beautiful Raba Wyzna and frequently travel back to L’viv to continue my photography.
